Dreaming of finding a sales representative that covers the entire territory, the Portuguese brand Scusi is negotiating with an Italian group. “The pandemic didn’t help, but we have been dating for some time now”, jokes José Brito.
With more than 80% of sales made in Portugal, it is with great resilience that Scusi has overcome the difficulties awaken by the Covid-19 pandemic. “These are not easy times. We have 90% of the goods on hold, just waiting for the confinement period to end”, admits the head of the lady’s fashion company.
The growth in the export volume, currently fixed at 8%, is a priority for Scusi, which is already represented in the Spanish and Canadian market, being also present, to a lesser extent, in Israel or Morocco.
“We now want to reach Italy, and we are already negotiating with a group to represent us in that market”, reveals José Brito.
Participating in the digital edition of MODTISSIMO is, therefore and according to José Brito, an important way of “showing that we are healthy and ready to work. MODTISSIMO has never disappointed me, and from there good business and many important contacts emerged”.
“It is true that this is going to be our first experience at an online fair, and, naturally, there will be mistakes, but the truth is that we will have a good presentation. We have invested a lot in good studio photographs and very good look books”, concludes the men in charge of Scusi.
