MODTISSIMO ONLINE: What can visitors and exhibitors expect?

The main Portuguese textile fair will hold its 57th edition from March 10th to 12th, for the first time in a fully digital format. Even without eye contact, MODTISSIMO will recreate the entire experience of the fair on new platforms, with live meetings, product presentations, trends forums, innovation showcases, seminars and conferences.

Focused mainly on a corporate audience and on asserting itself as a platform for networking and doing business, the fair will be held online and will have two access levels: MODTISSIMO online and MODTISSIMO Marketplace. Both will be free of charge, but while the first is open to all visitors, including fashion students or other potential stakeholders, the second is exclusively intended for buyers and exhibitors from fashion and textile companies, as well as for the national and international press.

At MODTISSIMO online, visitors will be able to find the several sectors that the Portuguese salon presents in its face-to-face version. The trend forums and the iTechStyle and Green Circle showcases will be filmed through a virtual tour system, which allows a realistic, detailed and 360º view of the textile pieces. The seminars and conferences will be streamed, with special emphasis on the opening session, organized in partnership with the Textile Cluster, and which will include the participation of the Portuguese Minister of the Environment, João Pedro Matos Fernandes. In the MODTISSIMO Marketplace, the meetings at the company’s business stands will be recreated. If at MODTISSIMO online visitors can consult the exhibitors’ profile and catalog, in this professional area they will be able to hold live meetings to discuss products and potential deals. The system will allow visitors and exhibitors to organize a meeting schedule over the course of the three days, to carry out product presentations in a personalized way. The goal of the event is to maintain the trade show environment among professionals, and many companies will have their commercial teams prepared to receive both national and international visitors at the companies’ virtual stands.
