The iTechStyle Green Circle sustainable innovation project is already preparing for the next Modtissimo and has applications open until July 15th. The selected materials, products and accessories will be presented for the first time at the Portuguese textile show and later at other European fairs such as Première Vision Paris and ISPO Munich.
The challenge is directed at companies with innovation projects that also show an environmental responsibility component, such as the integration of the circular economy principles. The initiative, put together by CITEVE in partnership with Associação Selectiva Moda and curated by Paulo Gomes, seeks only articles with properly proven and certified characteristics.
Green Circle is open to all sectors of the textile industry, like fashion, home textiles, sportswear and technical products, ranging from raw materials to the final article. Companies interested in participating must do so by using the form presented by the organization, accompanied by a sample or description of the article.
The selected products will be kept by CITEVE for 14 months and will be presented in showcases organized by Green Circle, first at Modtissimo – scheduled for September 23rd and 24th at Alfândega do Porto – and then at showcases at the main international textile fairs. Over the past two years, Green Circle has attended fairs such as Neonyt Berlin, ISPO Munich, Première Vision Paris and Heimtextil, in Frankfurt.
