The presence in Modtissimo’s next edition is now more than ever a priority for Idepa. For the company specialized in the production of textile accessories, “it is very important that the Portuguese market continues to meet. Modtissimo is an opportunity for players to get together and a fundamental business card for IDEPA”, argues Ana Paula Pires, the company’s sales and marketing manager.
Despite admitting that this year, at the expense of the pandemic, the number of potential foreign customers visiting Modtissimo may decrease a little, Ana Paula Pires is convinced that the trade show offers each edition a “renewed and very interesting” range of buyers, which makes IDEPA choose to concentrate its efforts on the Portuguese market.
“Even before the pandemic, we had decided that this year we would not attend international fairs, but the reinforcement of our bet on the Portuguese market is now essential. After several participations in PV, ISPO and other reference trade shows, we decided that 2020 would be a year of assessments for us”, reveals the company’s representative.
Founded in 1965, Idepa is a family business that is already in its second generation. Divided into two industrial units – the main, located in São João da Madeira, and another one in Vila Nova de Gaia–, the company employs 130 people. Labels, sewing and finishing ribbons, and elastics – used in a wide range of products, such as suspenders, boxers, streetwear or in waistbands – are Idepa’s range of products.
