The 23rd edition of MODTISSIMO, which took place on the 11th and 12th of March, clearly invested in the future: it presented what best is happening in Portugal related to Technical, Intelligent and Functional textiles. At the Textiles for Tomorrow Forum, CITEVE presented its most recent projects surrounded by 17 companies of the sector.
The numbers regarding this edition visitors record a light growth regarding last MODTISSIMO. The foreign visitors record some changes, namely to the original country visitor. Spain keeps his leading position in the MODTISSIMO, and the second and third places suffer changes. Italy was the second country that most visited the salon and Chec Republic; the newest county visitor got the third place on the ranking.
Concerning the exhibitors, the manufactures area enlarged the representation in the salon due to the partnership with Alternativa Moda. Generally, MODTSSIMO register an enlargement in the number of exhibitors.
Organized by Associação Selectiva Moda, constituted by ATP - Associação Têxtil de Vestuário de Portugal - and by ANIL - Associação Nacional da Indústria de Lanifícios - it counts on the public partnership with ICEP and the support of PRIME. Together they organized the only exhibition of European Fabrics and Accessories and Portuguese Garment Makers, with a clear investment in national products and in Technical, Intelligent and Functional Textiles. |
